Vehicles in Britain are subject to an annual MOT test. For vehicles that come within the MOT scheme, testing is mandatory every year after the vehicle is three years old.
How long does an MOT take?
The MOT test takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
What if my MOT has expired?
If your MOT has expired, it’s illegal to drive your car on the road and you could be prosecuted for doing so.
Driving without a current MOT also invalidates your car insurance. So you might not be covered if you were to have an accident.The only exception would be if you already had an MOT booked and were driving your car to the test.

What happens if my car fails the MOT?
If your car fails the MOT we will call to let you know, explain why the car has failed and discuss the next steps.

The MOT test fee is VAT free.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by cash and all major credit and debit cards.
Can I get my road tax without an MOT?
Your car will need to have a current MOT before you can get your road tax.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer £5 off an MOT for blue light card holders. Just show your card to reception. The offer is not valid with any other offer or promotion and is not valid on Sundays or public holidays.
What time does my vehicle have to be dropped off for a Drop & Go MOT?
If you have booked a Drop & Go appointment, please drop off your vehicle before 8am. If it is out of hours please leave your keys using our key deposit facility. We will contact you when your MOT is complete & you are welcome to collect your vehicle when convenient.
There are no available appointments for Drop & Go MOTs, does this mean you are fully booked?
Our Drop and Go MOT appointments are limited, so if you are unable to find an appointment for this type of booking, please try to book a standard Weekday or Sunday MOT.
